Cloudy skies, rise in temperatures up to 14C expected on Wednesday

Tomorrow, the sky will feature scattered high clouds, and in the morning low clouds or fog will persist in the lowlands. Minimum temperatures will range from 1°C to 6°C, around 2°C in Sofia.

Daytime highs will go a little higher, reaching between 9°C and 14°C, about 11°C in Sofia.

In the mountains, scattered high clouds are forecast. A moderate north-northwesterly wind will blow, strong at the highest peaks of Rila and Pirin. Maximum temperatures will reach around 8°C at 1,200 m altitude and around 4°C at 2,000 m.

Along the Black Sea coast, predominantly high clouds are expected with a light west-northwesterly breeze. Maximum daytime temperatures will be between 9°C and 11°C, while sea water temperatures will be 12°C–14°C.

Sunny weather will prevail in the western and southern parts of the Balkan Peninsula. More clouds are expected over the northeastern areas, with fog in many plains and valleys in the morning.

In Balkan capitals, highs will be: Athens – 17°C, Belgrade and Istanbul – 13°C, Bucharest – 11°C.
