The unloading of the second shipment of liquefied natural gas from the United States for Bulgaria has begun at the LNG terminal near Alexandroupolis, Greece, Bulgargaz announced. The process will take two days, after which the gas will be used to meet the needs of the company’s customers until mid-January, when the arrival of the third U.S. LNG shipment is expected.

In the presence of Bulgargaz Executive Director Veselin Sinabov and representatives of the supplier company, all procedures for connecting the tanker to the terminal were carried out.

In September this year, the company successfully completed four tender procedures for LNG deliveries to the Alexandroupolis terminal, the latest of which is scheduled for March 2026.

All tankers will be loaded in the United States.
