Following debates on 10 December, Bulgaria’s MPs will vote on the sixth no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov’s government. The motion was submitted by the 'We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria' (PP-DB) coalition and is backed by deputies from the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms (APS) and MECH. The motion cites a “failure in economic policy”.

This latest call for the cabinet to resign comes after mass protests across the country triggered by opposition to the 2026 budget submitted by the governing majority of GERB, BSP and ITN, with the support of DPS-New Beginning. The budget was subsequently revised, but the opposition rejected the new version.
