Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Elena Shekerletova reaffirmed Bulgaria’s support for Ukraine’s European integration at an informal meeting of EU Ministers for European Affairs with Ukraine held in Lviv, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
The forum aimed to underline the EU’s firm commitment to Ukraine’s European future. The ministers discussed the results achieved, progress in reforms and the priorities for the country’s further integration.
In her address, Elena Shekerletova welcomed Ukraine’s strong political commitment to implementing key EU-related reforms, as well as the significant progress made so far despite the difficult circumstances. She also praised Ukraine’s constructive approach in developing the Action Plan on National Minorities and expressed Bulgaria’s readiness to assist the country with expert and technical support for advancing key reforms related to EU accession.
During the meeting, Bulgaria’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs took part in a memorial ceremony honoring the victims of Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine.
