At the “Malko Tarnovo” checkpoint, border police dog Boyar discovered over 70 kg of marijuana. During a joint inspection of two vehicles heading to Turkey, Boyar indicated where the narcotics were hidden in the cars.
Border police and customs officers found that eight gas cylinders were not filled with gas, but instead contained packages of dry green plant material. The total weight of the seized marijuana was 70.064 kg, with an estimated value of €573,170, according to a court-appointed expert. The four men travelling in the vehicles were arrested.
