Folklore festival brings together performers to the village of Hrishteni

The festival "From Ignazhden to Christmas - Traditions and Modernity" will be held for the eighth time on December 13, 2025 in the village of Hrishteni near Stara Zagora. The goal is to preserve the wealth of Bulgarian folklore associated with the winter holidays from December to March.

Visitors will enjoy a rich program that will unfold on two stages - in the local community center and outdoors. There will be songs and traditional Bulgarian folklore dances, presented by groups and ensembles from 11 regions of the country. Famous folk singer Darina Slavcheva will be among the members of the jury and a special guest of the event.

In
addition to the musical and dance performances, the festival also
includes a competition for making the most original survachka,
Christmas cards, souvenirs, etc. Lovers of traditional Bulgarian
cuisine can taste typical dishes from the region of Stara Zagora.
