Festive retro tram with Santa to run in Sofia

A festive retro tram will set off at 3 p.m. on Friday from Vazrazhdane Square in central Sofia, offering passengers a holiday ride in the company of Father Christmas and Snow White, with surprises prepared for children.

The programme starts half an hour before that, at 2.30 p.m. with Christmas carols and Koledari songs performed by pupils from Vasil Aprilov Primary School No. 38. The Vitoshancheta folk ensemble from the St Sofia-1997 community centre will also perform traditional dances.

Boarding will be open to one adult accompanied by one or more children.

This event is part of the 2025 Cultural Events Calendar organised by Sofia Municipality.

Residents and visitors to the capital will be able to ride the retro tram until 23 December, between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
