The annual Biodiversity and Climate Awards 2025 – the country’s leading forum recognising positive examples, civic engagement and business initiatives in support of nature – will be presented later on Tuesday at the Peroto Club in Sofia’s National Palace of Culture, the Bulgarian News Agency reported.
“The nominations outline a very strong year for the nature conservation community – a year in which citizens have become bolder, journalists have delved deeper, activists have become more competent, and businesses have become more responsible. The efforts of experts, local communities, artists, entrepreneurs and the media are coming together because protecting nature has become a shared cause rather than a niche issue,” said the organisers.
The awards will be presented in six categories, including the most successful action, campaign or initiative; nature activist of the year; and responsible business.
