Bulgaria's Foreign Ministry hosts New Year’s reception for the diplomatic corps

Outgoing Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev hosted the traditional reception for the diplomatic corps on the occasion of the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays, the ministry announced on Facebook.

In his address, Georgiev highlighted key foreign policy achievements of Bulgaria, including full integration into the Schengen Area as of 1 January 2025 and the country’s forthcoming accession to the eurozone on 1 January 2026.

The minister also emphasized the deepening of the strategic partnership with the United States, as well as Bulgaria’s commitment to efforts for peace in Ukraine and to achieving a sustainable resolution to conflicts in the Middle East. In conclusion, Georgiev extended holiday wishes for peace, security, and prosperity.
