Brief showers in the east, sunny spells in the southwest expected on Tuesday

On Tuesday, minimum temperatures in Bulgaria will range from minus 2°C in places in southern Bulgaria to up to 5–6°C. In Sofia, it will be around 0°C. During the day, it will remain foggy or with low cloud cover in the plains and lowlands. Over southwestern Bulgaria it will be mostly sunny, but in the lowlands and near rivers there, the morning hours will also be cold and foggy.

Highs will range from 5 to 10°C, around 8°C in the capital.

Along the Black Sea coast it will be cloudy with brief showers. Maximum air temperatures will be 9–11°C, sea water temperature 11–13°C. Sea state will be 1–2 on the Beaufort scale.

In the mountains it will be cloudy, but over the peaks and massifs of southwestern Bulgaria it will be mostly sunny. A light to moderate southwesterly wind will blow. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m will be around 6°C, and at 2,000 m - around minus 2°C.

On Wednesday, temperatures will remain largely unchanged. Rain will fall in places in northern and western Bulgaria. Later in the day the wind will shift to the northeast, and during the night into Thursday it will strengthen, bringing an influx of cold air.
