“Welcome, Bulgaria” illuminates the ECB building in Frankfurt

The European Central Bank (ECB) will mark Bulgaria’s accession to the eurozone with a light installation on the southern façade of its main building in Frankfurt am Main, BNT reported.
The installation was tested on December 30. ECB’s main building will be illuminated from January 1 to January 11, 2026. The animation features the message “Welcome, Bulgaria” displayed in all official languages of the eurozone countries, as well as a visual presentation of the national side of Bulgaria’s 50-cent, €1, and €2 coins.
The project aims to highlight the significance of the eurozone’s enlargement and to mark Bulgaria’s official admission as its 21st member.
