2025 ends with lower expectations among entrepreneurs

 

In December 2025, the total business climate indicator in the country declined by 3.1 percentage points compared with November, dropping from 16.1 percentage points to 13 percentage points, the National Statistical Institute reported. The decrease was registered in all observed sectors—industry, construction, retail trade and services.

The most pronounced decline was in retail trade, where the indicator fell by 5.2 percentage points, followed by the services sector with a drop of 3.9 percentage points, construction with 2.3 percentage points, and industry with 2.1 percentage points.

According to managers, the main factors hindering business activity are the uncertain economic environment, competition, weak demand, labor shortages and the costs of materials.
