Gabrovo residents follow the tradition and see off 2025 on December 30

According to an old Gabrovo tradition, everything is a matter of careful calculation. When the old year is sent off a day early, performers’ fees are lower, and the entire event becomes more cost-effective. That’s why the concert, fireworks and festive celebrations in Gabrovo took place on the evening of December 30 in the city center.

This allowed the enterprising residents of Gabrovo to be free on the evening of December 31 to visit other towns and attend other gatherings to welcome 2026, the event organizers added.

Despite their well-known frugality, the Gabrovo residents assured that no one left the concert thirsty or hungry. Some even joked that the alcohol they brought had been purchased back on Black Friday in November.
