Bulgaria congratulates Cyprus on the start of its EU Council presidency

The outgoing Prime Minister, Rosen Zhelyazkov, congratulated Cyprus on the start of its Presidency of the Council of the European Union. "I am confident that under your leadership, Europe will continue to develop its autonomy, openness, and sustainability. I look forward to enhanced dialogue and sustained progress,' he wrote on X (formerly Twitter), as reported by BTA.

Today, Cyprus is taking over the six-month presidency of the Council of the EU for the second time, with the intention of promoting changes aimed at European independence under the motto 'Open to the world'.
