The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology has issued a yellow weather warning for strong winds today for 14 regions across the country. For the regions of Vidin, Vratsa, and Montana, a yellow code is in effect for snow and icy conditions.

In the eastern half of the country and north of the mountains, the wind will be moderate and temporarily strong from the south-southwest; temperatures there will remain high, reaching 14°–16°C. In most of the Danubian Plain, the wind will be weak and in many areas will subside, with maximum temperatures between 1° and 6°C.

In Sofia, the maximum temperature will be around 15°C.

In the mountains, cloudy weather will prevail. In some areas there will be snowfall, while below 1,800 meters precipitation will be in the form of rain. A strong to stormy southwest wind will blow. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 meters will be around 8°C, and at 2,000 meters around 2°C.

Along the Black Sea coast, cloudy weather will dominate, but precipitation will be minimal. A moderate and temporarily strong south-southwesterly wind will blow. Maximum temperatures will range between 13° and 17°C. The sea water temperature is 9°–11°C, and sea conditions will be moderate, with waves of 2–4 on the Beaufort scale.
