Armenians in Bulgaria celebrate Christmas on January 6, together with Epiphany, following the tradition of the Armenian Apostolic Church, which unites the two holidays. In the Armenian Apostolic Church "Holy Mother of God" (Surp Asdvadzadzin) in Sofia, the holidays will be celebrated with solemn services, the church announced in a press release, quoted by BTA.

After the holy liturgy, a water blessing ritual will be performed. During the festive service, the so-called Godfather of the Cross - Khachkavor, who assumes spiritual, moral and symbolic responsibility to the church and the community throughout the calendar year, will be announced. The Armenian Church "Holy Mother of God" is the only Armenian church in Sofia - a spiritual center for the Armenian community in the capital.
