Vasil Levski Airport - Sofia is now operating normally and flights are operating as scheduled, the airport's press center announced. Yesterday, seven flights were redirected from landing in Sofia to other airports - Belgrade, Budapest, Varna and Plovdiv, due to strong winds, while three takeoffs were cancelled.

Over the weekend, hundreds of households in the municipalities of Vratsa, Mezdra and Montana were left without electricity due to accidents caused by the strong wind. In the region of Vratsa, the wind knocked down poles, bus stops, and trees. In Sofia, a tree that fell on a moving car took the life of a 31-year-old woman, a mother of two children. BG Alert was activated in the mountain resort of Borovets. Dozens of trees fell there, but fortunately there were no human casualties.

At the Black Sea coast, on December 4, the tourist ship "Magellan" sank after hitting the quay wall in Sozopol. The 25-meter-long ship was carried away from the port by hurricane-force winds after its anchor broke, correspondent Daniela Kostadinova reported.
