Wednesday will be milder than usual for the time of year, but rain is expected. Minimum temperatures will range from 5° to 10°C, with around 5°C in Sofia. It will be mostly cloudy and windy, with rain in western and central regions, and heavier showers in the southernmost areas. Winds from the south-southwest will keep temperatures relatively high, reaching highs of 10–15°C during the day, and 11°C in the capital. It will be cooler in the north, with highs of 2–4°C, while winds in the Danube Plain will shift from the west-northwest, bringing colder air.

Along the Black Sea coast, it will be cloudy with afternoon showers. Daytime highs will reach 15–17°C and the sea temperature will be 10–11°C. Waves will be moderate at around 3–4 on the Beaufort scale.

In the mountains, it will be mostly cloudy and windy, with rain in many areas and heavier showers in southern Rila-Rhodope, Belasitsa, and Ograzhden. Snow is expected above 1,800 metres where winds will be strong to gale force. Maximum temperatures will be around 9°C at 1,200 metres and 3°C at 2,000 metres.

By Thursday, falling temperatures in northwestern Bulgaria could create icy conditions. A cold front will bring further rain, which will turn to snow in many areas by evening.
