St. John's Day celebrated with horse procession in Teteven

According to tradition, in Teteven, St. John's Day (January 7) will be celebrated with a horse procession through the central streets of the city, the municipal administration announced.

The start is at 11:00 from Hristo Botev Street. BTA recalls that this is a special cultural event for the region, as horse processions are generally not characteristic of St. John's Day. According to an old tradition in Teteven, on St. John's Day everyone who raised horses would go out and show off their horses.
