Bulgarian comedy receives award at IndieX Film Festival in Hollywood

The short film “Restavrazov” by Bulgarian film-maker Adrian Al Jazzar received first prize for best cast and third prize for best comedy film at the international IndieX Film Festival in Hollywood, BTA has reported. The film competed with thousands of films from 59 countries.

"Comedy is my favourite genre, although it is very difficult. I am glad that the audience was able to understand the film. The actors who participate in it are not professionals. I choose them according to the role and in many cases they play themselves. The award is the greatest recognition for our team and motivates me to make more films and participate in other international festivals," Adrian Al Jazzar said. At the same IndieX Film Festival, Al Jazzar's "Empty Life" won the grand prize for a film up to five minutes back in 2021.
