I have received assurances from Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis that the issue with the blockade on the border will be resolved in the coming days. This was what outgoing Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov said after a conversation with the Greek Prime Minister, the press center of the Council of Ministers has reported.

In Paris, on the sidelines of the meeting on Ukraine, the two discussed the topic of the blockades by Greek farmers at the border crossings and main roads between Greece and Bulgaria.

Zhelyazkov pointed out that the issue concerns not only traffic, but also the normal functioning of the European transport corridors, the common market and the free movement of people and goods. This is a matter related to the interest of Bulgarian carriers, but it also concerns the interest of Greek industry and Greek farmers, the Prime Minister said and recalled that both countries are part of the Schengen area.
