On Thursday, as a cold atmospheric front passes through, the weather situation will become more complicated. It will be cloudy, and precipitation will continue; in places it will be significant in amount, and in isolated areas along the front it will be accompanied by thunderstorms. As temperatures drop across much of the country, rain will turn into snow, and a snow cover will form mainly in Northern Bulgaria and the mountainous regions. By evening, precipitation will begin to stop from the northwest.

In the Upper Thracian Plain and the Danubian Plain, northwesterly winds will be strong, with gusts reaching gale force. There will be conditions for snowdrifts in mountain passes and in the Ludogorie region, and for icy roads in the northwestern areas.

Temperatures will show little diurnal variation - ranging from minus 1 to minus 3°C in the northwest to 13–15°C in the southeastern regions.  In Sofia, the expected minimum temperature will be minus 3°C and the maximum around minus 2°C.

Along the Black Sea coast, it will be cloudy with rain. Maximum air temperatures will range from 11°C to 17°C in the southernmost areas. Sea water temperatures will be between 9 and 11°C. Sea waves will be around 2–3 on the Beaufort scale.

In the mountains, conditions will be cloudy and windy. There will be precipitation, locally with thunderstorms and significant amounts in the Rila-Rhodope region, and as temperatures fall, even lower elevations will see rain turning into snow. Strong to stormy southwesterly winds will blow. The maximum temperature at 1,200 meters above sea level will be around 0°C, and at 2,000 meters - around minus 5°C.

On Friday, the cloud cover will break up and decrease to mostly sunny conditions. The wind will weaken and shift to southerly. Minimum temperatures will range between minus 8°C and minus 3°C, while maximum temperatures will be between 2°C and 7°C.
