A total of 621 young people from Bulgaria aged 18 have been given the opportunity to travel for free by train across Europe. They are among more than 40,000 young Europeans taking part in the European Commission’s DiscoverEU initiative. The autumn application round was open to young people born between 1 January 2007 and 31 December 2007 from EU Member States and from countries associated with the Erasmus+ programme.

The selected participants will be able to travel free of charge for up to 30 days during the period from 1 March 2026 to 31 May 2027. In addition to the travel pass, they will also receive a discount card offering reduced prices for cultural activities, accommodation, local transport, and food.
