Protesting Greek farmers closed the Kulata-Promachonas border crossing on January 8. The complete blockade will remain for 48 hours, until noon on Saturday. Currently, cars and buses are allowed to pass. The crossing is closed to trucks over 12 tons. The border crossings “Ilinden – Exohi” and “Kapitan Petko Voivoda-Ormenion” are also completely closed to trucks.

Greece’s borders with Turkey and North Macedonia are also blocked for all vehicles. There are farmers’ blockades on the Thessaloniki-Athens highway near Chalkida, near Larisa and on the Athens-Lamia road. Agricultural equipment has also been placed on all roads that bypass the blockades.
