“Yes,
Bulgaria” called on acting prosecutor general Borislav Sarafov,
whose term has expired, to immediately leave his post and a new state
prosecutor to be elected. This should happen at the first meeting of
the Prosecutors’ College of the Supreme Judicial Council, said the
co-chair of the PP-DB Parliamentary Group and a member of the party,
Nadezhda Yordanova.
The
MP also said that next week “Yes, Bulgaria” will propose
amendments to the Judicial Act to change the election of the
prosecutor general.
“With
a prosecutor’s office headed by Sarafov, there can be no fair
elections,” Nadezhda Yordanova said, defining the current
prosecutor general as Delyan Peevski’s biggest bludgeon, but not
the only one. Therefore, according to her, in the first working days
of the parliament, the chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission,
Anton Slavchev, should also be dismissed.
The
party also demands the introduction of 100% machine voting, as well
as the removal of the security provided by the National Service for
Protection for GERB leader Boyko Borissov and the chairman of "DPS
- New Beginning" Delyan Peevski.
