Bulgaria ranks 58th out of 142 countries in the 2025 Power and Influence Index, according to an international study published in the American magazine CEOWORLD.
The ranking is based on seven indicators: political stability, economic influence, defense budget, weaponry, global alliances, soft power, and military strength. The study uses data from the United Nations, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), and surveys conducted in over 190 countries, with 296,400 respondents.
The United States holds the top position, followed China and Russia. Turkiye completes the top ten. In the region, Greece is 29th, Romania 47th, and Serbia 57th. The data show that durable influence rests on a broader platform: countries that combine stability, economic scale, alliances and soft power consistency.
