Unsurprisingly, GERB-SDS returns mandate for forming cabinet to the president

The GERB-SDS parliamentary group received and immediately returned the first mandate to form a cabinet. Only Prime Minister in resignation Rosen Zhelyazkov was present at the meeting with President Rumen Radev.

Zhelyazkov said that March 29 was a good date for early parliamentary elections. "You showed wisdom and responsibility by resigning as a result of the mass protests that swept the entire country, but society expects you in addition to relieving the tension, to continue to govern responsibly, in accordance with all the requirements of the constitution until a new caretaker government enters into force," the president replied.

Rumen Radev is about to hand over the second mandate to the coalition "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria", which also announced that they would return it. This will happen in the coming days, the president said, without specifying when.
