Ivelin Iliev named Photographer of the Year by Inspiration Photographers

Bulgarian wedding photographer Ivelin Iliev has been named Photographer of the Year by the international platform Inspiration Photographers, one of the world’s leading directories for wedding photography, Iliev told BTA.

“This award is more than a prize — it is recognition of the responsibility we carry when capturing someone’s most important day. For the tension, the laughter, the tears, and all those small moments that may seem brief but live forever. I thank the couples who trusted me, the people who support me, and my wife Vanya, who works alongside me,” Iliev said.

On his website, the Burgas-born photographer explains that he spent more than a decade living and working in Málaga, Spain, with his wife, during which time he gained extensive professional experience. His photographic style is strongly influenced by the Spanish wedding photography school and characterised by dramatic contrasts, geometric composition, dynamic colour and minimalist techniques. Iliev prioritises unposed photography, capturing emotions in their rawest form and ensuring they are present in every frame.
