PP–DB coalition call for 100% machine voting in upcoming elections

Bozhidar Bozhanov, co-chair of Yes, Bulgaria (part of PP–DB coalition), has told journalists that they are proposing the introduction of 100% machine voting, as was the case in the 2021 elections.

“In a pre-election situation, we should minimize changes to the Electoral Code, which is why we are proposing only a return to fully machine-based voting,” he commented. According to Bozhanov, the machines have proven that they produce “clean elections” - ones without manipulation and with immediate results.

On January 14, the parliamentary legal affairs committee will review the draft amendments to the Electoral Code submitted by We Continue the Change–Democratic Bulgaria (PP-DB).

Also tomorrow, PP–DB are organizing a rally in Sofia in support of machine voting. It will take place at 6:00 p.m. at Independence Square.
