Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications Grozdan Karadjov and Minister of Finance Temenuzhka Petkova will validate today the first postage stamp for 2026, which will be on the theme "Bulgaria in the Eurozone".

"This is the most awaited issue by collectors in Bulgaria and abroad, because the withdrawal of the lev as the state currency closes an entire collector's cycle with more than 140 years of history and opens a new one. For Bulgaria, this is happening for the second time since the end of the 19th century after the introduction of the national currency," the Ministry of Transport and Communications noted some time ago when adopting the thematic philatelic plan for 2026.
