Young singer Todor Gadjalov is a typical example of an independent musician – he writes his own songs, records them in his own studio, and produces them himself. At the same time, he enjoys exchanging ideas with other musicians, which is why he takes part in the increasingly popular songwriting camps in Bulgaria where participants make music together. He says that working with more musicians makes a song richer, but when you work alone, you have the opportunity to fully express yourself. This is also the case with his new single “Letya” – a self-written pop ballad that conveys a feeling of freedom and love.
He managed to complete “Letya” during his summer travels across Bulgaria, visiting many beautiful locations that inspired him and contributed to the final version of the song. Some of these places appear in the video for “Letya” – sea and mountain landscapes that intertwine and highlight the themes of freedom and the power of emotions. The main message Todor Gadjalov conveys is about love:
“Love, and love for freedom”, the artist clarifies. “The lyrics are literally
about love, but this love doesn’t have to be directed at other people –
everyone can interpret it in their own way. I sing about love in general. And
in this case, freedom adds to the feeling I want to convey.”
