Israel expects the democratic world to stand by the Iranian people. This position was expressed by Israel’s ambassador to Bulgaria, Yosi Levy Sfari, BGNES reported.
“We must decide whether we will stand on their side or continue to turn a blind eye to the atrocities of the regime in Tehran,” Yosi Levy Sfari said, referring to the brutal repression of protesters.
The agency recalls the statement of Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi that the government has full control over the country, as well as his claim that “there will be no executions today or tomorrow.”
So far, at least 2,000 people have been killed during the demonstrations.
