On Friday, the wind across the entire country will shift to the northeast, will strengthen, and will bring in cold air. Cloudy weather will prevail, and in some places there will be light snowfall. Initially in Eastern Bulgaria, the precipitation will be rain, but as temperatures drop it will turn to snow. In the northeastern regions, there will be conditions for icy roads before noon. Rain will be the main form of precipitation during most of the day in the Upper Thracian Plain and along the southern Black Sea coast, but there too it will mix with snow in the evening. In the southwestern regions, the weather will remain mostly dry with more hours of sunshine. Temperatures will fall and will range from −3°C to −2°C in the northeastern areas to 8°C–10°C in the far southwestern regions, in Sofia around 8°C.
In the mountains, skies will be mostly cloudy with light snowfall. Precipitation will be less frequent in the massifs of Southwestern Bulgaria. A moderate north to northwesterly wind will blow, gradually turning to the northeast. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m will be around 3°C, at 2,000 m around −2°C.
Along the Black Sea coast, cloudy weather will prevail with rainfallр changing to snow along the northern coast as colder air moves in. There will be moderate northeasterly wind.
