Salaries in the public sector will be raised by 5% in January. This was announced by the outgoing Finance Minister, Temenuzhka Petkova. An official government decision to this effect will be issued next week.

In the extended law on the 2025 budget, a provision was included at the suggestion of Assen Vassilev from the PP-DB stating that public sector salaries will be increased by the percentage of inflation accumulated by 31 December 2025. The salary increase will most likely be paid in February.
