After
more than 30 years, the border crossing "Rudozem - Xanthi"
between Bulgaria and Greece will be open. The opening procedure is at
10:45 a.m. It is assumed that from 12:00 p.m. citizens will be able
to cross. The road will be open for vehicles up to 3.5 tons.
The
bypass road of Rudozem is not ready yet, as it is expected to be
completed by the end of April. Traffic will initially pass through
the city center, the mayor of Rudozem, Nedko Kulevski, said,
Radostina Kolcheva, BNR correspondent in Smolyan, reported.
The
opening of the road Rudozem - Xanthi was repeatedly postponed due to
prolonged construction work on the route to the border from the Greek
side.
