More than one hundred unrealized projects by Christo and Jeanne-Claude will be presented at the Kunstmuseum Pablo Picasso in the German city of Münster, the Christo and Jeanne-Claude Foundation announced. This is the first exhibition of its kind to be held in Germany, BTA reported.
Titled “Christo and Jeanne-Claude: Un|realized” (Christo und Jeanne-Claude: un|realisiert), the exhibition will open on April 4 and will be on view until June 28, 2026. It presents projects by the two artists that, despite years of planning and intensive negotiations, were never realized.
Spanning six decades and curated by Matthias Koddenberg, the projects illustrate how Christo and his wife Jeanne-Claude developed their artistic and social messages—from the design phase through the creative process, which was often marked by resistance and setbacks, the foundation said.
