Bulgaria ranks 62nd in the 2025 Military Strength Ranking of Global Power

Bulgaria ranks 62nd in the 2025 Military Strength Ranking of Global Power. The Global Power ranking utilizes over 60 individual factors to determine a given nation’s Power Index score with categories ranging from quantity of military units and financial standings to logistical capabilities and geography.

The top countries in the 2025 ranking remain unchanged: the United States, Russia, China, India, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.

Bulgaria is in 62nd place, between Belgium (61st position) and Serbia, which is in 63rd place. North Macedonia is ranked 112th. Turkiye is in 9th place, Greece in 20th, and Romania in 51st. Bulgaria’s position has not changed compared to 2024.

Albania has made significant progress, climbing from 90th to 78th place. Kosovo is ranked 141st out of a total of 145 countries assessed.
