On Friday, minimum temperatures across Bulgaria will range from -1°C to 5°C, with Sofia at around -1°C. Fog and low clouds will clear by the afternoon in most low-lying areas, but poor visibility is expected to persist in the north and east of the country. Light rain is possible in the far southeast, while mountain areas will be mostly sunny, with maximum temperatures of 8–10 °C (9 °C in Sofia). Winds will be light, except for a weak northwesterly breeze in the northeast.
Along the Black Sea coast, it will be cloudy in the south with rain, particularly along the southern coastline. Winds will be moderate to strong from the south, with maximum temperatures of 6–8°C. Sea temperatures will range from 5°C in the north to 9°C in the south, with waves of 2–3 on the Beaufort scale.
In the mountains, it will be mostly sunny, though cloud cover will increase before midday over Vitosha and the Balkan mountains, where there is a possibility of isolated snow flurries. Winds will be light to moderate from the west-southwest. Maximum temperatures will be around 5°C at 1,200 m and -1°C at 2,000 m.
On Saturday, high and medium cloud cover will increase. Minimum temperatures will range from -4°C to 6°C and maximum temperatures from 1°C to 11°C.
