President Rumen Radev will step down from the presidency tomorrow at 16:00, the press office of the head of state announced. He will be seen off at the ceremonial entrance of the presidential palace by Vice President Iliana Yotova, who will assume the role of head of state following the Constitutional Court’s ruling.

Earlier this week, Radev announced his decision to leave the presidency in an address to the Bulgarian people, signalling his intention to enter politics. Should the Constitutional Court terminate his powers, Vice President Yotova will assume his duties.
