The associations of international road freight carriers from Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia have announced a protest at the border crossings with the Schengen area, including Bulgaria. The action is to start at noon. The protesters demand a change in the limitation of drivers' stays in the EU of up to 90 days within 6 months. Those travelling through Serbia to other European countries are recommended to go through Romania.

The Foreign Ministry of North Macedonia announced that the passage of freight vehicles will be limited at the border crossings "Deve Bair", "Delchevo" and "Novo Selo", starting 1 p.m.

If the situation escalates, we will use all diplomatic opportunities with our colleagues to ease the conditions for crossing the western borders," Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev has told bTV.
