US Congressman holds meetings at the Council of Ministers and GERB headquarters

The strategic partnership between Bulgaria and the US for strengthening bilateral ties in defence and energy was the focus of the conversation in the Council of Ministers between outgoing Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov and US Congressman Pat Fallon, the government press service has reported.

The strategic partnership between Bulgaria and the US is key to the security and stability of our country and the entire region. The US is our trusted ally and strategic partner, with whom we share common values, goals and responsibilities. This was what GERB leader Boyko Borissov said during his meeting with US Republican Congressman Pat Fallon in the GERB headquarters. The meeting was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev and Minister of the Interior Daniel Mitov.
