Bulgaria marks Data Protection Day with roundtable discussion

Bulgaria’s Commission for Personal Data Protection will hold a series of initiatives on Jan. 28, 2026, to mark the annual Data Protection Day.

A roundtable discussion titled “Protection of Whistleblowers and Personal Data Protection” will take place at the Millennium Hotel in Sofia.

Participants will examine the intersection between whistleblower protection and personal data protection rules, focusing on the implementation of Bulgaria’s Whistleblower Protection Act and the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
