We present the project “KARDESA” for a new next-generation underwater telecommunications system across the Black Sea, which will connect Bulgaria and Georgia, with branches to Turkiye and a future extension to Ukraine.

With this system, Bulgaria becomes a strategic entry point for a new digital corridor between Europe and Asia, said Vladimir Malinov, CEO of Bulgartransgaz.

“For Bulgartransgaz, it is a recognition that leading international companies such as Vodafone, Deutsche Telekom, and NEQSOL Holding have chosen the Bulgarian gas transmission operator as a partner for this strategic project”, Vladimir Malinov emphasized during the signing in Sofia of a memorandum for the construction of the route.

The EUR 100 million project will be built by NOVATEL–BULGARTRANSGAZ, APOLLO Submarine Cable System Limited, and PrJSC VF Ukraine. Investors in the project are Vodafone and NEQSOL Holding, BGNES reported.
