On Thursday, a Mediterranean cyclone will bring warm, wet weather to the region. Minimum temperatures will range from 0 to 8°C, with around 2°C in Sofia. The day will be mostly cloudy, with fog in some lowland areas.

Heavy rain will begin in southern Bulgaria before noon and spread to most of the country by evening. Only the north-west is expected to see lighter rainfall. Winds will be light during the day, strengthening in the evening in north-eastern Bulgaria. Maximum temperatures will range from 7 to 12°C, slightly higher in eastern areas, and about 7°C in Sofia.

Along the Black Sea coast, conditions will be cloudy and rainy. Air temperatures will reach between 10 and 14°C. Sea temperatures will range from 6°C in the north to 8°C in the south, with waves of 2–3 on the Beaufort scale.

In the mountains, it will be mostly cloudy, with snowfall above 1,600 metres and rain at lower elevations. Significant precipitation is expected in many areas, including the Balkan Mountains after noon. Winds will be strong from the south-west in the morning, weakening later in the day and briefly shifting to the south-east before turning north-easterly. Maximum temperatures will be around 5°C at 1,200 metres and about –1°C at 2,000 metres.

On Friday, cloudy conditions will persist, with rain in many places and heavier precipitation expected across the south-eastern half of the country.
