Bulgaria to launch Institute for Crypto-Economics, Blockchain and Innovation

At its meeting today, the outgoing government decided that Bulgaria will establish the Institute for Crypto-Economics, Blockchain and Innovation at the University of National and World Economy. The proposal for the new institute came from the university’s rector and was approved by its Academic Council. 

The launch comes amid growing adoption of blockchain technologies in the global economy.

The institute will focus on research into crypto-economics and blockchain technologies, publishing findings in internationally recognised academic journals and participating in national and international scientific forums.
