Bulgaria signs PACE declaration on sovereignty of Greenland and Denmark

States and political groups in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe have expressed strong support for a declaration stating that Greenland belongs solely to the Greenlandic people and any decisions regarding Greenland and the Kingdom of Denmark can only be taken by them. The head of the Bulgarian delegation to PACE, Denitsa Sacheva, is among the signatories, BGNES has reported.

The broad support for the declaration means that the issue will be discussed on January 29 at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe with the aim of adopting a joint resolution in support of Greenland and Denmark.
