Construction of a high-tech plant starts near Bulgaria's Plovdiv

Construction is starting on a high-tech plant for the production of corrugated cardboard and other packaging products in the Trakia Economic Zone near Plovdiv, the Ministry of Innovation and Growth announced. With the investment of the company “Tri-Wall,” valued at over €30 million, 150 jobs will be created.

The factory will include warehouses for raw materials and finished products, as well as a production facility for paper packaging products. The investment project is fully aligned with leading European and international principles for green manufacturing.

“Efforts must be doubled, even tripled. We need to aim even higher. In addition to traditional industries in mechanical engineering, we must increasingly think about automation and mechatronics. We need to be even more ambitious. Space is now on the agenda,” said Deputy Prime Minister and outgoing Minister of Innovation and Growth Tomislav Donchev at the groundbreaking ceremony.
