The
blockade of trucks between Bulgaria and North Macedonia has been
lifted. Protests by hauliers from North Macedonia have been suspended
at all border crossings. They began on Monday over the full
implementation of the "entry-exit" system adopted by the EU
in 2017.
The decision to suspend the protest by the "Makam-Trans"
Association came after the Minister of Transport in Skopje,
Aleksandar Nikoloski, announced on Facebook that Brussels would adopt
a visa strategy that would solve the problem of professional drivers.
The
protest has also been suspended in Montenegro, but continues in
Serbia. Trucks are not allowed to pass through all border crossings
with Bulgaria on Serbian territory. The movement of cars and buses in
both directions has not been stopped, the Border Police reported.
