On Saturday, minimum temperatures will range from minus 1°C to 4°C, with around 1°C in Sofia. Cloud cover will increase throughout the day, with rain and snow expected in parts of western Bulgaria. A moderate east-north-easterly wind will continue to draw in colder air. Daytime highs will range from 2°C to 7°C, reaching around 5°C in Sofia.
Along the Black Sea coast, it will be cloudy with rain in the south. Maximum temperatures will range from 2°C to 5°C. Sea temperatures will be around 6°C in the north and 8°C in the south, with rough seas and waves of 2–3 metres.
In the mountains, it will be cloudy with snowfall. Moderate winds will blow from the south-south-east, shifting to the north-north-west in the eastern parts of the Balkan, Strandzha and Sakar mountain ranges. Temperatures will reach around 3°C at an altitude of 1,200 metres and -2°C at 2,000 metres.
On Sunday, the north-easterly wind will strengthen, prolonging the cold spell. Precipitation will spread across the country, with snowfall extending into the southern regions, where it is expected to be heaviest in the far south. Snow cover will form and persist, particularly in higher and southern areas, as cold conditions continue.
