Skopje gives award to Pirogov Hospital for treating Kočani fire victims

North Macedonia's Ambassador Agneza Popovska awarded the N. I. Pirogov Hospital in Sofia for rescuing the most seriously injured young people in the disco fire in Kočani, North Macedonia, in March 2025. The ambassador presented the award to Pirogov's Executive Director Dr. Valentin Dimitrov. During the visit, she also met with a team from the Clinic for Burns and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, led by Prof. Dr. Maya Argirova.

Ambassador Popovska expressed her gratitude to the management of Pirogov Hospital and all the medical staff who participated in saving the lives and health of North Macedonian youth. She emphasized the contribution of Pirogov's teams who ensured that all children and youth survived and recovered well.
